Pre-Arrrangement

Pre-planning a funeral service provides peace of mind for everyone involved. A carefully pre-planned service can be the quite comforting for your family, as it spares them from having to face decisions that can be both emotionally and financially difficult at the time of death. It can give them lasting peace of mind to know that they have acted in accordance with your wishes.

In laying our pre-arrangement plans, you may get as detailed as you wish:
You may wish to determine:
1. Visitation hours
2. Place of funeral service
3. Decide between cremation or funeral service
4. Select a casket or urn
5. Choose your music or favorite song
6. Record readings, pall bearers, officiant, and any other choice that is typically made during time of death arrangements
7. It is also helpful to just record your statistical information that will be used for state and other paperwork after a death

Other things to consider when pre-planning your funeral service are to make a record of bank accounts, insurance policies, and other savings or benefits that are entitled to you or your family. Make sure to save this in a secure location, but also notify those you wish to know, where you will keep this information should they need it. To make this consolidation of information easier for you, during pre-planning we will provide you with a Personal Arrangement Guide booklet to record all this information within. It will help to ensure that the things you worked and planned for during life, will be properly received by your beneficiaries.

Once your pre-planned funeral service has been completed, we will keep a copy of it on file. When the time of need arises, a call to our funeral home will enable us to proceed with what was planned. Your loved one's will be relieved to know they don't have to go through the funeral arrangement process from the beginning.

Below is a printable form we have put together to help you get started with your pre-arrangements. It does not cover all aspects of pre-planning a funeral service, as each person will have different requests and choices, but rather to help you start pulling your ideas together. We would be honored to assist with any questions you may have. Please feel free to call one of our locations for assistance.
